These $43 Amazon Sneakers Look Like an Adidas Best-seller

When you see parallel stripes running down the sides of a sneaker, you know it’s a good shoe. It’s an Adidas shoe—or it’s a lookalike that’s half the price and doctor-recommended. Perhaps better known for its Birkenstock-inspired clogs and cork sandals, Project Cloud makes a platform court sneaker akin to the much-adored Adidas Bravada 2.0, and even brand loyalists have developed a soft spot for it.

The podiatrist-loved Nita platform sneaker has performance features like dual-layer memory foam and stabilizing heel counters to keep you comfortably on your feet. And it has the familiar look of a timeless classic. You can’t beat a combo like that starting at $43.

The Nita has a platform that lifts you about two inches and contains a cushiony memory foam insole for your heels to sink into. It’s part of Project Cloud’s special Arch Support collection that’s earned the approval of podiatrists and thousands of customers. Shoes in this collection feature the brand’s proprietary ProjectPlush support system, which is basically just a footbed that contours to the natural curvature of the feet, helping to distribute weight evenly and alleviate pressure points that could lead to soreness, calluses, and blisters.

One reviewer put them to the ultimate test—a five-day tour of New York City—and said they still “felt amazing” after walking 45 miles in them. In fact, they liked the sneakers so much that they purchased another pair at the end of their vacation. Another traveler wrote that they bought them at the last minute before a trip because they weren’t able to snag their favorite Adidas VL Court 3.0 sneakers in time. “‘Cloud’ is a perfect way to describe them,” they said. “I wore them all day—probably walked six to seven miles—and they are sooo comfortable.”

Even folks with wide feet and issues like plantar fasciitis say they can walk around comfortably in the platform Nita sneakers. One who was experiencing debilitating heel pain to the point of not being able to walk every morning called the cushion “life-changing,” adding that the problem has entirely gone away since switching to these sneakers.

Despite their chunkiness, the platforms are super lightweight and stable, thanks to a grippy non-slip rubber sole. They have a padded tongue and breathable lining that provides ventilation and temperature regulation under the vegan leather upper. The lack of mesh helps prevent water from seeping into the shoe and reduces the chances of it staining.

All colors—black, green, pink, pistachio, red, blue, and white—have the wide lines running down the sides in contrasting colors. They also feature the complementary heel patch that Adidas court sneakers have. A reviewer said they look just like the name brand but are “much more comfortable.”

Right now, you can snag the Nita platforms in eight fun hues, including red, green, and pink. If you’re looking for even more comfortable platform sneaker styles, check out the original Adidas Bravada 2.0, a version from Dr. Scholl’s, and Reeboks, below.
