DISNEYLAND is reportedly removing “scary” characters — with villains such as the Evil Queen from Snow White set to make appearances only at Halloween.
Baddies including Gaston from Beauty and the Beast and Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians are also feared to be at risk.
Some visitors said the California theme park was going woke.
They hit out after footage went viral of an actress playing the Evil Queen telling a guest: “Go complain. Tell them you want me specifically all year round.”
One fan wrote on TikTok: “Disney went woke, made bad movies and now getting rid of the reason why they were successful. Pathetic really.”
Another said: “Reducing the hours of the very first Disney villain from the original Disney park — that is madness.”
A third claimed: “Just an excuse not to pay villain performers all year.
“You’ll need to pay a premium to see them.”
A further theory suggested one actress playing the Evil Queen was becoming too popular on social media, which Disney did not like.
Disneyland did not comment, but sources insisted characters rotated “all the time”.
Disney World in Florida recently said it would expand to include a section dedicated to villains.
