A moose seen roaming around Fargo, North Dakota, last week has seemingly left town, police say.
On Thursday, the Fargo Police Department said it had been “keeping a close eye” on the moose and warned residents to “stay away and admire from a safe distance.”

A Monday morning update from police said the beast hadn’t been seen all weekend.
“Thanks to everyone who kept their distance and allowed our moose guest the space to leave town safely,” the department said.
State wildlife officials say moose sightings are common across North Dakota.
“And as the population has expanded, individual moose on occasion have wandered into towns and cities where they warrant real safety concerns,” the North Dakota Game and Fish Department said.
