ICE agents — some of whom wore face coverings — arrested four men on a roofing crew Thursday morning in St. Paul’s North End neighborhood. Later that evening about a dozen people from the neighborhood gathered at a vigil to show support for the men and their families. The ICE “St. Paul Field Office arrested four individuals, according to an email statement from the agency,” Sahan Journal reports. “The arrests come two days after federal authorities announced Tuesday that they had recently conducted 900 site visits and in-person interviews across the Twin Cities investigating alleged immigration fraud.”

Nearly a dozen measles cases were reported to the Minnesota Department of Health this week, including a case involving a student enrolled at a Minneapolis public school. “The agency says all of the cases involve people who aren’t vaccinated and are tied to either domestic or international travel,” WCCO reports. “The number of infections across the U.S. is the highest since 1992, according to data provided by Minnesota’s health department and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”

The Trump administration is canceling nearly $8 billion in federal funding that was directed toward clean energy projectsin 16 states, all of which voted for Democrat Kamala Harris in last year’s presidential election,” including Minnesota, the Associated Press reports.

“In greater Minnesota, four artists are bringing murals, collages, sculptures and even interactive apps to local parks in and around Rochester, Granite Falls, Alexandria, Maple Lake and Clear Lake,” the Minnesota Star Tribune reports. “Another four are working at parks in the Twin Cities area; and four others are working with the Department of Natural Resources at parks near Bemidji, Silver Bay and Center City.” The Minnesota Parks Artist-in-Residence program is funded by the state’s Legacy amendment and aims to connect people with art and the outdoors.
