We Now Know What’s Being Built in NW Rochester

Minnesota really only has two seasons, and both cause headaches. There’s winter, with snow and ice making it tough and sometimes dangerous to get around. Then there’s construction season, which also makes travel difficult.

The North Broadway road project has been a hassle for anyone trying to get in or out of downtown Rochester, and the completion date has been pushed back. The area around Mayo Clinic is one giant construction zone with multiple projects in progress. It can be frustrating, but most people realize the work needs to be done.

But today, I finally came across some construction news that’s actually exciting for a change.

Earlier this week, crews kicked off the first phase of an exciting new project in NW Rochester that is expected to be finished and open by the spring of 2026.

Here’s What Is Being Built Off Of West Circle Dr. in NW Rochester

I was driving to the Hy-Vee on West Circle when I noticed some heavy machinery digging up a large section of land in the open lot between Hy-Vee and Kwik Trip.

Construction just started west of the building that houses Qdoba and Crisp & Green.

I decided to take a closer look to find out what’s being built. After grabbing my groceries, I drove over to Sarah Pl Dr. to get a closer look, and the sign on the lot revealed the info I was looking for.

A new retail center is coming to West Circle Drive in Rochester!

Reality Growth Incorporated is behind the new center and says it will provide high visibility and easy access, which makes it a prime location for businesses.

The space is being designed to accommodate a variety of retail tenants.
