Gopher MBB showcases itself last Saturday (AUDIO)

The Golden Gopher men’s basketball team held an hour-long scrimmage at Williams Arena on Saturday afternoon, showcasing the roster in public for the first time since Niko Medved was hired as head coach. The team played a pair of eight-minute games, with both contests coming down to the wire. The “Maroon & Gold Scrimmage” was a homecoming weekend feature that preceded the football game against Purdue. An estimated two-thousand fans showed up to watched the workout. Minnesota will host North Dakota State in an exhibition game on Thursday night at Williams Arena. University of Minnesota students will get into the game for free, while there will be a ticket charge for everyone else. Tickets start at 13-dollars each for Thursday’s preseason tilt, which will till tip off at 7 P-M.
