Radisson Blu Hotel, Cebu recently held the 9th edition of its signature bridal fair, Something Blu.
Inspired by the timeless beauty of lapis lazuli, the traditional gemstone for a 9th wedding anniversary, this year’s exhibit radiated the stone’s celebrated attributes of harmony, truth, and unwavering devotion. The space was awash in lapis lazuli’s deep, mesmerizing blue, creating an elegant, tranquil atmosphere that unified every corner of the showcase. From the breathtaking entrance of the grand lobby, guests were effortlessly guided along a thoughtfully styled path directly to the main exhibit hall, where the blue theme subtly tied together each display and vendor space.

For almost ten years, Something Blu has stood as Cebu’s premier bridal fair, eagerly awaited by couples and industry professionals alike. The event has a distinguished reputation for assembling nearly 100 of Cebu’s most in-demand and reputable wedding and event specialists under one roof. Walking through the exhibit, visitors discovered a vibrant tapestry woven from the talents of bridal couturiers, skilled florists and imaginative event stylists, renowned photographers and cinematographers, expert jewelers, cutting-edge lights and sounds providers, and innovative artisans creating bespoke wedding gifts and invitations. Even premier medical aesthetic clinics were present, offering couples the chance to perfect every detail of their wedding journey.
Attendees were treated to exclusive, thoughtfully curated packages and enticing discounts designed especially for the event. These special offers, crafted by passionate suppliers, made it easier for couples to transform their dream wedding or event into a stunning reality.
The highlight of the Something Blu bridal fair was the awarding of the “Dream Wedding on Us” raffle.
Modelled after successful programs from the last two years, this grand raffle was a highlight for couples who booked any event during the Something Blu fair. Excitement filled the air as couples entered to win an array of luxurious prizes: a grand dinner buffet reception for 100 guests at the Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu, renowned for unforgettable celebrations; elegant jewelry sets from Love & Diamonds to commemorate their big day; comprehensive wedding photo coverage by the skilled team at Rock Paper Scissors Studios; and thoughtful couples’ gift sets from One Mist Fragrances. Winners also received a custom bridal robe crafted by designer Rei Escario, an Astoria wine bar from Charlton Trade for celebratory toasts, a decadent two-tier cake from Cake Tales by Jeah Baron, and a bespoke bridal bouquet by Work of Hans. In the spirit of generosity, Love & Diamonds also surprised the crowd by awarding two additional fine jewelry sets valued at P25,000 each to other fortunate guests.
Amplifying its impact, this year’s Something Blu celebrated more than weddings—it celebrated women’s empowerment and resilience. The fair included a special showcase of handcrafted products made by women currently housed in the Cebu City Jail Women’s Dormitory. These thoughtfully designed items, bearing personal stories of hope and perseverance, offered fairgoers the chance to purchase meaningful gifts while directly supporting the artists.
Organized in collaboration with the Cebu City Jail Women’s Dormitory, this program provides ongoing livelihood support. Inmates participate in skills training focused on sewing and handicrafts, with plans to extend to hotel housekeeping. These initiatives are structured to enable women to earn an income while in detention, fostering economic independence and preparing them for successful social reintegration once released.
